Christopher Brown

Veritable values liberal arts educations as much as it does technical and financial degrees. In a true liberal arts fashion, Chris, who has a strong attachment to his family and Northern California where he was raised, turned away from the comforts of home to study history at Haverford College, 2,500 miles away. He is an impressive communicator and he is intensely curious. His description of the unique code of conduct that drew him to Haverford and which elevates intellectual integrity above all other pursuits is unforgettable to those of us who interviewed him ten years ago. At Veritable he joined the portfolio management staff and immersed himself in the world of investing. But after four years, the tug of the Bay area was too strong and Chris moved back to work in commercial real estate. He ultimately enrolled at the Haas School Business at the UC Berkeley to earn an MBA. At Haas, Chris and his team won the annual “Golden Shovel” competition which pits Haas and Stanford MBA candidates against each other in the design and presentation of a real estate development challenge. Veritable re-recruited Chris as he was finishing his degree to join and now manage our new San Francisco office. Chris is a CFA® charterholder and currently serves as a Board Member and Head of the Finance Committee for Tandem, Partners in Early Learning. Chris and his wife Jordan (a RISD grad who designed Veritable’s California Street offices) and their dog Quigley live in Pacific Heights.
